20 Is Plenty for Suffolk at long last

I finally got around to reading the Parish Council minutes for July which as far as this site is concerned were quite momentous in as much it endorsed the 20 is Plenty campaign for Suffolk villages. They agreed that a 20 mph restriction throughout this village would be a benefit.

This site has long supported a 20 mph limit despite the objections to the limit by the County Council and in particular the cabinet minister for roads who bandies about misinformation like a 20 mph limit will not be enforced. Well he was at it again when he said that he was concerned because it could lead to a blanket 20 mph being imposed throughout Suffolk. Well is that not what we want!!!

The World Health Organisation says that where ever vehicles and pedestrians mix the speed limit should be 30 kmph (20 mph).
