The River Deben

Happened to catch Miranda Krestovnikoff’s river walk along the River Deben on BBC’s iPlayer. It showed what a beautiful river we live near. She walked from Sutton Hoo to Ramsholt. As part of the programme she met Robert Simper who has written the book ‘The River Deben’. As they flicked through the pages of the book one picture looked like the Spinner in the pub. Sadly the book is out of print.

The walk took in a lot of the banks of the Deben and ended up at the Ramsholt Arms. If you get a chance to have a look at the programme.
