Checking Facebook I see that the Shottisham Village Association are publicising the Parish Council’s desire to get the local authority to reclassify the piece of road from Tower Cottage to the Playground entrance as a highway from restricted byway. Excellent initiative that this site supports. It will increase the available car parking spaces when we have village or pub events. Please nip over there and have a look.
Looking at the restriction we cannot understand why it was there in the first place. I don’t know the history but it cannot predate 2006 when the term was introduced.
