Although not Shottisham the Greenkeepers at Woodbridge Golf Course in Bromswell have revealed a World War 2 type 2 pill box which was part of the WW2 military strongpoint at Wilford Rise. This is shown on the Suffolk Heritage Explorer, but on the Pill Box Study Group Extended Database of WW2 defences it is noted as removed. This pill box is set into the hill to the left of the 18th fairway and whilst I am not sure how much of the box will be revealed there is no entrance visible, so it must be still under the ground. Pictures below which were taken on a dull day and as JPEGs offer little post processing. If I can smarten them up I will replace. (replaced)
